RPC is a professional services firm based in the UK and Asia.
RPC tests are designed to evaluate potential hires not just for their technical abilities but also for their alignment with the company’s interpersonal dynamics and problem-solving approach.
From application to final assessment. The process varies slightly by programme and office.
A question in the style RPC sets. Pick an answer and the keyed option is shown.
One question tells you the style. A pack gives you the hour: blended, marked, with the working shown.
In today’s business world, clients need more than just a safe pair of hands. They need emotionally-savvy advisers who will strive to find the best solution for the top and bottom lines.
RPC expect you to take a critical thinking test if your application is successful. This is similar to the Watson Glaser tests. W-GCTA contains five sections designed to find out how good an individual is at analytical and logical reasoning and it measures ability to logically analyse assumptions, arguments, deductions, inferences and interpreting information.
You’ll be asked to prepare a presentation on a topic given in front of one of the assessors in advance of the assessment centre. You will then be required to answer questions in order to demonstrate your knowledge of the company and how you would work under pressure. It is therefore vital that you do your research.
The group exercise demonstrates how you work and perform in a team. The group will discuss a problem and attempt to come up with solutions. Ensure to find a balance between speaking up and making your point but without dominating the group. You must show the assessor that you can work well in any situation, especially within a team as that is something that will be expected of you at the company.
What candidates ask us most often
The difficulty of RPC tests can vary widely depending on your background and experience. However, like any standardized test, they present their own challenges and require a tailored preparatory approach.
The best way to gear up for RPC tests is to practice, practice, practice. That’s where Practice Aptitude Tests comes in, providing a suite of tests tailored to what you can expect in the actual assessment.
The length of the recruitment process at RPC may vary, but being prompt and prepared at each stage, including the testing phase, serves to demonstrate your motivation and can potentially expedite the overall timeline.
RPC values advisers who are not only technically proficient but also possess a high degree of emotional intelligence, with a penchant for finding the best outcomes for all aspects of the business.
