VMware Logical Reasoning Test

A logical reasoning test is a type of aptitude assessment that measures your ability to solve problems. Problem-solving is an important competency VMware looks for in its applicants, which is why the test is so useful for them to assess its applicants.

There are different types of logical reasoning tests such as deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, and diagrammatic reasoning. The underlying goal of all three types of tests is to measure your logical aptitude and skill in drawing conclusions for a given set of data or information.

The assessment consists of answering 25 questions in 35 minutes - adding an element of stress and time management to see how you respond. Tests will include patterns and sequences where you must identify the underlying pattern in a logical way.

Practicing this type of test is particularly important as it will help you develop your technique in recognizing patterns and relationships quickly.

VMware programming Test

Programming tests are an effective way to test the skills and competencies of candidates who are applying to roles that require strong programming knowledge. Depending on the role requirements you could be tested on a range of different programming languages. Each test consists of 30 questions and are timed.

Programming languages may include Java, C, and C++

VMware technical Rounds

If you manage to successfully score high across your online assessments, you might be invited to participate in a technical interview, depending on your role. Each interview is 60 minutes and allows the interviewers to assess the technical and academic knowledge of each candidate.

You might be asked about topics such as data structures, DBMS, operating systems, networks, and other technical topics related to your role. You might also be asked to solve a few questions as part of a technical aptitude test.

VMware Managerial and HR Rounds

Once you have completed the technical round, you may be invited to the final stage of the recruitment process. This consists of a series of interviews by HR and management teams.

The interviews focus on questions around career goals, values, and behavioral style questions about your work experience.

The managerial and HR rounds may be conducted virtually or at one of VMware’s offices.
