Mazars Aptitude Tests
Before you prepare, one thing is worth knowing. Mazars combined with FORVIS in 2024 and now hires in the UK as Forvis Mazars, so applications go through the Forvis Mazars careers site. The selection process moved on at the same time. The online assessment the firm sends candidates today is short and untimed, closer to five minutes than an hour, and built around your natural strengths rather than your speed. It comes back with a personalised report on your top two strengths and one area to develop, and the firm says no preparation is required for it.
That does not make reasoning practice wasted. The virtual assessment centre later in the process includes an in-tray exercise and a group exercise where you work with data and written material against the clock, and the numerical, verbal and logical skills below are exactly what those draw on. The firm does not say who builds any of its assessments, so prepare for the question types rather than one publisher’s house style.
Mazars Numerical Reasoning Test
Mazars Numerical Reasoning questions relate to graphs, percentages and tables, where you analyse data and choose from a set of multiple choice answers. Practising this type of question under timed conditions is still worthwhile, because the assessment centre exercises put you under time pressure even though the online assessment does not. This type of test is designed to measure your numerical abilities.
Mazars Logical Reasoning Test
A logical reasoning test is a type of intelligence test that is designed to measure a person’s ability to think logically. The test usually consists of a series of multiple-choice questions that require the test taker to read and comprehend a short passage of text, and then answer a question based on the information in the passage.
The test can also be used for identifying individuals who have the potential to be successful in roles that require logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Mazars Verbal Reasoning Test
For the Mazars Verbal Reasoning test you will be presented with a series of paragraphs which you will be required to read and then answer questions. Your options will be True, False or Cannot Tell. This test will be assessing your analytical skills. As with the numerical tests, balancing your time between reading the passages and answering the questions is the skill worth building, and it is the one the assessment centre exercises lean on hardest.
Mazars Personality Test
The personality test is designed to help Mazars assess an individual’s personality. It consists of a Likert scale format which ask you to rank your opinion on different statements - statements which are designed to measure your personality.
