Capital One Assessments
This comprises of questions which relate to graphs, percentages and tables whereby you will be asked to analyse data and choose from a set of multiple choice answers. There will be a time limit, usually a minute per question, and so practicing answering these type of questions in timed conditions is vital.
You will be presented with a series of paragraphs which you will be required to read and then answer questions on. Your options will be True, False or Cannot Tell. This test will be assessing your analytical skills. As with the numerical tests, you will be timed and so ensuring that you balance your time between reading the passages and answering the questions is important.
Case Study Interview
You will be expected to read materials provided, usually in the form of a case study, and then be interviewed by the assessor who will ask you various questions relating to the topic provided. It is important to make sure you are aware of the values of the organisation as well as their history and how they deal with clients. The questions are likely to include broader topics so preparation is key.
The group exercise demonstrates how you work and perform in a team. The group will discuss a problem and attempt to come up with solutions. Ensure to find a balance between speaking up and making your point but without dominating the group. You must show the assessor that you can work well in any situation, especially within a team as that is something that will be expected of you at the company.
You’ll be asked to prepare a presentation on a topic given in front of one of the assessors. You will then be required to answer questions in order to demonstrate your knowledge of the company and how you would work under pressure. You will have time to prepare for this prior to the presentation during the written exercise.
