Phone screening or video interview
The next stage of Capital One’s recruitment process, once you have passed the aptitude tests, is to take part in a phone screening or video interview (role dependent).
Generally, the interview will be conducted via phone, although the format makes little difference to the process.
Questions will focus on ensuring candidates are suitable for the role. As such, you can expect to be asked questions regarding your resume, work history, salary expectations and availability.
You might also be asked to listen to a hypothetical situation and provide your recommendation on how to proceed (refer to Capital One’s values to do well in this).
Capital One’s in-person interview will take place with either a manager, an interview panel or as a group interview, depending on the role you’ve applied for.
There are two main parts – a behavioural interview and a case study. The case study is more in-depth than the previous phone or video screening.
Pre-employment checks and onboarding process
The final stage of the recruitment process is pre-employment checks such as a credit and background check, depending on the location and position you’ve applied for. Once passed, you will follow onboarding procedures.
