Smith and Williamson Assessments
This psychometric test comprises of a series of questions to be answered in within a specific time which will vary from company to company. They relate to graphs, percentages and tables whereby you will be asked to analyse data and chose from a set of multiple choice answers. These tests are designed to measure your numerical abilities. You will be asked to sit these again at the assessment centre. Smith and Williamson use SHL as their test provider.

Group Excercise / Case Study
This exercise will involve working in a group. This is designed to test your people skills and how you work within a team. You will be provided with a case study which you will examine individually and attempt to find a solution to the given scenario. You will then come together in a group and given time discuss the issues given in order to come up with a solution as a team. During that time you will need to strike a good balance between contributing and listening for you will be assessed on how you perform within the team. Be careful not to become to dominating, but avoid being too passive.
E-trays make use of a simulation in which you receive e-mails which you are expected to read, prioritise and process in order to complete several tasks. These tasks are representative of those that you might be expected to undertake in a work or business setting. It will assess your written communication, decision-making skills and ability to multi-task.
