The L’Oreal management trainee scheme is an intense scheme which offers a variety of roles across four different sectors; Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance. On each of these programmes you will undertake three placements across the business, each of which you will be supported by an HR sponsor. This rotation of placements will give you the opportunity to work on different products and markets undertaking new challenges. You will be supported with training along the way in order to rapidly build up skills and knowledge and get you on the way to senior level. You’ll need a minimum of a 2.1 degree.

Commercial; This position will be based mainly in London but you will need to be flexible for possible rotational work around the country. You will have the opportunity to work on a number of different brands and accounts meeting clients, monitoring sales and identifying new business opportunities. You’ll need to be analytical and good at building relationships.

Marketing; This position will be based in London. You will be working alongside highly skilled professionals and will learn about the basics of marketing whilst working on many different brands. You’ll work both with teams within L’Oreal as well as with external agencies. You’ll need to be both strategic and creative in order to take on the challenges of this role.

Supply Chain; You’ll be based either in London or the Midlands – depending on your rotation. This is a vital area of the business and you will join the team and learn quickly about the supply chain operations processes. You’ll work with the marketing and commercial teams as well as with the L’Oreal factories across Europe in order to deliver great results to the customers. You’ll need to be both analytical and innovative in your thinking in order to find solutions to complex problems. You’ll also need to be good at networking.

Finance; You’ll be based in London or the South East of England. Each of the global brands in the company have their own finance team and so you could be working in any of them. Wherever you work you will work closely with all other areas of the business to ensure sound financial control. This role is not a standard accounting one and you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and fine tune your knowledge of this area of expertise whilst working alongside professionals.
