You are presenting your team’s results in a quarterly review. This is the first time you’ve ever presented to an audience of over 100 people. In the audience are the CEO and all the directors of your company. You feel nervous about it but believe you can do a good job.
What do you do?
a) Spend extra time preparing your slides and practicing. b) Ask someone else in your team to do it for you. c) Get a more experienced manager from another team to do it with you.
Option A is correct. You know you can do it, you’re just a little nervous. Spending extra time practising should ensure you do a good job and it avoids the requirement of getting someone else to do it for you.
