You are due to attend a meeting with a potential client, in an attempt to close a highly profitable deal. Due to a misunderstanding, the room you have booked has also been booked by the managing director for an internal meeting. Both your client and the managing director are on their way to their respective meetings, and no other meeting room is available.
What do you do?
a) Call the managing director and explain the situation. Ask how they would like you to handle matters b) Take no action and wait for the delegates to arrive c) Call your client and suggest an alternative meeting location
Option A is correct on the bases that this deal could be hugely profitable for the business, it would be advisable to run it past the MD because they may deem it more of a priority than their meeting.
